BOSS (Bergteamet’s Operational Safety System), is an overall description of our way of working with H&S. BOSS is not independent of other operations but part of the daily operations.
Within Bergteamet, we strive for a workplace that is free from accidents and ill health. To achieve this, we work according to a management system that encourages participation and support. Our aim is that everyone shares our values and everyone’s opinion is equally valuable. Our way of working needs to be flexible and adopted to each project as we face unique challenges as a part of our daily operations.
For long-term sustainable work, everyone’s participation is required. All employees have their individual role and responsibility, and everyone plays a key role for the success in our H&S management system.

BOSS leads the way
Bergteamet has created a unique safety concept that will increase awareness and create a safer work environment.
The safety culture is strong within Bergteamet and by constantly developing our methods and our equipment with a great focus on safety, we build a strong awareness among all team members of the importance of working safely at all times. With BOSS, we have taken the next step and packaged our safety work that starts from the miners, those who are at the front and who know how to work smart and safely.
BOSS stands for Bergteamet Operational Safety System (Bergteamet’s systematic work environment) and is based on an overall concept that includes both strategic elements, training and practical work.
BOSS is not for the sake of the system itself, it’s part of our daily operations. Fundamental to this is that everything is anchored in reality and what we do. BOSS should not be perceived as a control system, but the goal is to create a mindset, a natural way of acting.
BOSS consists of a few cornerstones, including method-oriented risk management, where we together document how we do things, conduct risk analyses, reach agreement within the team and coordinate with the customer.
