A shaft presents a different challenge than a more controlled environment. Whether your project is in the middle of a city, out in roadless territory, or deep in a mine, you can be sure we’ve seen it before.

Bergteamet has the expertise and equipment for work in shafts. From manual preparation work to robotic reinforcement with shotcrete and rock bolts, wire bolts, pipe lowering, video inspection and replacement or installation of all new fittings for elevators, media, etc.

By constantly evaluating new technology from leading suppliers, we have been able to reduce hazardous work and substantially improve time efficiency in shaft related work, as well as in co-operation with our customers design specialized solutions to fulfil functional requirements.

From time to another we are also employed for purchase support and technical consulting. Services also include pioneering installations and, literally, ground breaking work where heavy machinery cannot yet be employed.

Bergteamet has one of the most complete and safest shaft equipment in Sweden and we are a little extra proud that we have developed a large part of the equipment ourselves and together with our clients.

We also comply with BRAGS, when we develop new equipment.

Eight shafts for the European route E4, Stockholm bypass

One of Sweden’s biggest infrastructure projects right now is the E4 Stockholm Bypass. Right outside Drottningholm Palace, Bergteamet is working on behalf of Norwegian AF Gruppen on a number of major ventilation shafts for the long road tunnel under Lovön.

Romote-controlled bolt drilling in the Renström mine

In the spring of 2020, Bergteamet used remote-controlled bolt drilling during the work to reinforce several new shafts for Boliden in the Renström mine.

Shaft reinforcement in a tight urban environment

In a cramped area between Bergshamra and Mörby, under the two large bridges for E18, Danderydsvägen, and the commuter train, Bergteamet is performing shaft reinforcement. The work is part of the large power supply project City Link.

Cement rings strengthens ventilation shaft in the Renström mine

A new method using reinforced cement rings was employed when a new ventilation shaft was raisebored in the Renström mine last summer. Rock pressure is high at the site location and rock conditions are challenging.

Shaft Cable Bolt Rig

A completely unique machine of its kind has been developed by Bergteamet. It will be used for rock reinforcement of narrow shafts where cable bolts are to be installed.
