We are experienced underground infrastructure specialists. With highly respected technical competence at the core combined with solution-oriented efficiency and an industry-leading security approach, we handle the customers’ challenges in a fast and safe way.
Bergteamet started as a local contractor for regional mining companies in northern Sweden. The company was founded in 1999 by Jan Marklund and Susanne Nygren. Today, the company has experience from many projects and broad geological conditions, which makes Bergteamet an experienced and reliable partner.
With a determined and positive attitude and the ability to find new creative solutions, no matter how tough the challenge, we approach it with the attitude of always solving the assignment. We are a valued collaboration partner and adviser.

Our history
Since the start in 1999, our headquarters have been located in Boliden, in the heart of the famous Skellefteå field, which has a long and strong mining tradition with several operational mines in the area.
Bergteamet was established by Jan Marklund and Susanne Nygren during a period of decline for the mining industry and was able to inherit invaluable knowledge, which has been further refined in close cooperation with many of the major mining companies in Scandinavia.
The company grew rapidly with the industry’s rise in the early 2000s and, among other things, Bergteamet became Dagens Industri’s Gazelle winner in Västerbotten County in 2006.
When the mining industry was rocked and many subcontractors to the mining companies disappeared, Bergteamet stepped up and looked over the entire organization.
The company was reorganized, and the business was concentrated to its core; to create and maintain infrastructures underground. These measures yielded results, and today the company has a stable and developing business.
During 2021, there was a change in ownership when the owner company Högkammen AB sold 75% of the company to LKAB.
Today, the business focuses on selling flexible and reliable services regarding diversified underground rock works.
